Distance = 1.7 km = 1700 m
Speed of light in a vacuum = 3 x 10⁸ m/s
Time = distance / speed
= 1700 / 3 x 10⁸ 
= 5.67 x 10⁻⁶ s
= 5667 nanoseconds.
