y=2x-2
 Think of it this way (2,2) =(x,y)             The slope is 2 because the line is parallel                                                                    to y=2x +4
so you'll use the point-slope formula
y-y1=m(x-x1)
y-2=2(x-2)
y-2=2x-4
  +2      +2 cancel it out on the other side
y=2x-4+2 like terms
y=2x-2
