x=6

11-3x=-7

To find what x equals, get x alone one one side of the equation. To do this, first subtract 11 from each side.

-3x=-18

Finally, divide each side by -3 to get x alone.

x=6

To check your answer, substitute 6 in for x.

11-3(6)=-7
11-18=-7
-7=-7

x=6

Hope this helped!
