(4+√10)(4-√10)

=16-4√10+4√10-10

=6

(4+√10)+(4-√10)

=4+√10+4-√10

=8

----------------------------

The numbers are:

4+√10, and 4-√10

this can be found by using substitution.
let number one be x and two be y.
xy = 6
x + y = 8
x=8-y subs this into "xy=6"
y(8-y)=6
expand and you will have a quad eqn and then just find y and use that to find x
