1 x 2= 2
5 x 2= 10
So now that 1/5 is equivalent is 2/10, we just add.
2/10 + 6/10= ?
For adding fractions, only add the numerators.
2+6=8 --> 8/10
2/10 + 6/10= 8/10
And so there you go.
1/5 + 6/10= 8/10
