Hello!

The "greater than sign" means one number is greater than the other.

Example: 4>2 (4 is greater than 2)

The "not equal to sign" means one number is not equal to another one.

Example: 15[tex]\neq[/tex]17 (15 is not equal to 17)

Hope this helps!
