v= volume

d=density of solid

g= gravitational acceleration

When in kerosene It's weight and an upthrist acts on it

So what we measure as the apparent weight in kerosene is the difference between its weight and the upthrust

W = weight in kerosene

W= Mg-Vdkg

dk= density of kerosene

Vdkg= Mg - W

d:dk = Vdg: Vdkg

= 4.8 : 4.8-3.2

=4.8: 1.6

=3:1
