When an airplane experiences drag, are the forces added or subtracted?
Hint: Drag is the term used to describe the air in front of the plane pushing the airplane backwards.
Forces are added. Acceleration would be the thing decreasing if the airplane is in the air and flying forward, which I am assuming as no context is given.
Even if the airplane was stationary an the ground forces would still be added. Acceleration is the consequence of force, not the same thing.
