The answer is B because 8 dozen is 8*12, and then you subtract 4 from the 8 dozen. Then you divide what's left by four, so it wouldn't be a part of what happened before.

8 * 12 is used to find what 8 dozen equals which is 96
Then she discarded 4 in the trash so 96 - 4 = 92

Then she equally separated the rest into 4 equal groups

so that 92 ÷ 4

which means there's 23 pretzels in all 4 groups
