In this case, both technicians are correct because conventional oil wont last as long as full-synthetic or full-synthetic high-mileage oil.   high-mileage or regular full-synthetic? I say go with the full-synthetic high-mileage oil because it can handle more miles than the regular low-mileage oil. it also wont damage ur motor unless ur motor requires  low-mileage oil.
