The US people had to limit what they used throughout the war that was vital in the war... for example:
-Gasoline: Needed to power tanks, army trucks, airplanes, etc
-Steel: Obviously to build military equipment, shells, etc
-Food: Soldiers had too eat food too
etc... etc
