Find the velocity in m/s (meters per second) of a swimmer who swims 500 meters toward shore in 50 seconds.

To find the velocity, you would have to divide the meters given by the seconds given.

500 meters / 50 seconds = 10 meters per second. 

Your answer would be 10 m/s
