What is the benefit of the narrator's use of the first person omniscient narrative in the story?

Through first person, we (as the readers) are able to better understand and relate to what the narrator is feeling, saying, and doing at an exact moment. It is far easier to convey human feelings through a first person perspective. Hope this helped!
