The meteorites or other objects entering from the earth atmosphere from the solar system. Some of these small sized objects are subjected to ablation in the earth atmosphere. They get destroyed in the atmosphere. But objects which are larger in size they remain unaffected and hit the surface of earth with explosion. These objects appear as shooting stars.
