What are some of the characteristics of democracy that dictatorships adopt?

There are many of them and are used to create an illusion that the country is not a dictatorship. An example would be having fake elections. People go and vote but that doesn't mean anything because it's rigged and the dictator wins every time. Another is having a constitution for example that is presented as the highest authority but is really not.
