As the previous answer said, you can solve for x in the equation by simplifying and solving.
Starting with y=4x+8x
Simplify by adding like terms (4x and 8x)
y=12x
And divide by 12 on both sides to isolate the x
[tex] \frac{y}{12} =x[/tex]
