Radiotherapy is a form of cancer treatment which utilizes radiation in various forms such as x-rays, gamma rays, and electron beams or protons to kill or damage cancer cells so they cannot grow or multiply. This method of treatment is a localized treatment, which generally means that it does not cover the entire human body and only affects the area or part of the body where the radiation is targeted.
