The answer is:  [A]:  "roots".
_____________________
  Note:  √(x+5) = 4 ;

Square each side:

[√(x+5)] ²  = 4²  ;

x + 5 = 16 ;

Subtract "5" from each side of the equation;

x + 5 - 5 = 16 - 5 ;

to get:  x = 11 ;

So, yes; there is a solution.
