The problem is describing fractions of P. with it's two-thirds (2/3)*P ..

P + 2P/3 + P/2 = 234

6P/6 + 4P/6 + 3P/6 =  234

13P/6 = 234

13P = 6*234

13P = 1404

P = 1404/13

P = 108
