Perfect square means when two numbers that are the same are multiplied.

For example, 4 is a perfect square because it can be broken down to: 2 x 2

When 2 numbers that are the same are multiplied to form a third number, that number is the perfect square.

Some other perfect squares are: 9, 16, 25, 36, 49, 64, 81, 100

When broken down, it is [tex] 3^2, 4^2, 5^2, 6^2, 7^2, 8^2, 9^2, 10^2[/tex] respectively.
