You first need to find your amount of change. To do this you simply subtract the 2 quantities. Then you divide by the original number you were given.

Ex: You have $50 dollars. You spend $25 on a new shirt. What is the percent of change?

50-25=25.
25/50=1/2
1/2= 50%

Your percent of change was 50%
