Alex has 175 baseball cards. Rodney has 3 times as many baseball cards as Alex. How many fewer cards does Alex have than Rodney?

Since Alex has 175 baseball cards, and Rodney has 3 times as much, we could easily turn that into an equation.

175 * 3 = 525

Now, just subtract the amount of cards Alex has from the amount Rodney has.

525 - 175 = 350
