Ida B. Wells was a black woman in the United States from 1862-1931. She was a journalist who wrote about anti lynching. One way she fought it was by bringing it to public attention by writing about it. Another way is that she started her own newspaper called "Free Speech." She also founded the NAACP which advocated for rights for colored people.
