The answer (in scientific notation) is 1.0044 * 10^-4.

Explanation:

1.08 * 10^-3 = .00108 (if you move the decimal to the left 3 times). and 9.3 * 10^-3 = .0093 (move the decimal three times). If you were to multiply those two numbers together (because there is no symbol between the two parenthesis, it automatically becomes multiplication), you will get 0.000010044. That number in scientific notation is 1.0044 * 10^-4.
