The equation of a straight line is y=mx+b. You can find the y intercept by substituting x for 0, or find the x intercept by substituting y for 0. So using this reasoning:
the x intercept is 0=13x-6 -> 6=13x -> 6/13=x
the y intercept is y=0-6 -> y= -6
