x^2 - 10x = -8
x^2 - 10x + 25 = -8 + 25
(x - 5)^2 = 17
x - 5 = (+-) sqrt 17
x = 5 (+-) sqrt 17

ur solution :
x = 5 + sqrt 17
x = 5 - sqrt 17
