in August Sarah clothing store sold 220 shirts with the ratio of short to long sleeve being 7:3. how many short sleeve shirts were sold?

220 ÷ 10 = 22
22 x 7 = 154
22 x 3 = 66
Ratio: 154:66
Add the two numbers together to make sure it is correct:
154 + 66 = 220 ✓

Short sleeve shirts = 154
Long sleeve shirts = 66
