Job enrichment is based on herzberg's two-factor motivation theory. This theory, also referred to as Motivation-Hygiene Theory, was created by Frederick Herzberg. The idea behind it is that there are factors found in the workplace that create job satisfaction and a different set of factors that create dissatisfaction with a job.
