Isobars, isotherms, isohyets, and isoamplitudes, are all examples of isolines. These are lines drawn on a map or in a chart to represent different geographical locations which have got similar or constant values or phenomenon such as pressure, temperature, rainfall, and many others. In a map, these lines are drawn   with different colors is order to differentiate the values being represented.
