Lyric refers to short poems, with strong emotions, and lack of narration. This means that epics are incorrect here. Ballads are also usually quite long, which is why this answer is also incorrect. A limerick is a funny and usually obscene poem, and doesn't fit the description of a lyric either. Subcategories of lyric poems are elegies, odes, and sonnets.
