How is the code of the Hammurabi an example of how cuneiform a type of writing influenced the lives of ancient babylonians

The Code of Hammurabi influential on the ancient Babylonians and later civilizations  because it was the first time that a king had put down laws into writing. No other king prior had ever done that. It held everyone, including nobility, to the same standard.
