Remember the formula of the area of a circle is:
[tex]V = \pi * r^{2} [/tex]
SO given that
V = 226.98
and [tex] \pi = 3.14[/tex]
Plug in a chug
226.98 = 3.14 * [tex] r^{2} [/tex]
[tex] r^{2}= 72.287[/tex]
r = 8.50

Remember that d = 2 * r
d = 2 * 8.5 = 17
