 For this case what you can do are two methods to find the amplitude. 
 Method 1:
 Graph the function to see the zero-peak behavior of the function.
 Method 2:
 A = absolute value (-3)
 A = 3
 Note:
 Using method 1 we see that the zero-peak amplitude is 3.
 Answer:
 A = 3
