The area is 21 m^2
Given: h = 5 m; b₁ = 1.7 m; b₂ = 6.7m
The formula for the area of trapezoid is A = 1/2h(b₁+b₂)
Where: h = height; b = base
A = 1/2 h (b₁+b₂)
= 1/2 (5)(1.7+6.7)
= 1/2 (5)(8.4)
= 1/2 (42)
= 42/2
= 21 m^2
