Cross-pollination occurs when pollen from one plant transferred to a different plant with same species. The two plants’ genetic material combines and the resulting seeds from that pollination will have characteristics of both varieties thus producing stronger plants.  In addition, cross- pollination happens in several means through the help of wind, insect or humans.
