3/7 of what number is 9? How am I suppose to figure this out?

first you take 9 and divide it by 3. since 9 is 3/7 of n, 9÷3 would be 1/7. so 9÷3 is 3, so you take that and multiply it by 7 to get 7/7 or the whole number. which in this case is 21. (:
