Given that total number of students = 248

Number of students in car = 8

Then remaining number of student which are in buses = 248-8 = 240

Total number of buses = 6

Now we have to find the number of students in each bus. To find that we can divide total number of remaining students (240) by total number of buses (6)

Number of students in 1 bus = 240/6 = 40

Hence final answer is 40.
