Divide through by 3:

[tex] \frac{3x^2 -6x+9}{3} = \frac{0}{3} \newline \newline x^2 -2x+3=0[/tex]

Complete the square:

[tex] x^2 -2x +1+3=+1[/tex]

[tex] (x-1)^2+3=+1[/tex]

[tex] (x-1)^2=-2[/tex]

[tex]x-1= \sqrt{-2} [/tex]

[tex]x=-\sqrt{2} i+1[/tex]

[tex]x=\sqrt{2} i+1[/tex]
