An individual's strong belief that he or she can successfully accomplish a specific task or outcome is referred to as self-efficacy. The self-efficacy that one possess plays a major role in how one accomplishes tasks and goals. Four major contributors to self-efficacy are performance outcomes, vicarious experiences, verbal persuasion and physiological feedback.
