Intervening opportunity is an example of a pull factor.

Explanation:

An intervening opportunity that causes a person who is migrating to be in a place between the place where they start and the place they wish to go. It is being considered as a pull factor which helps to migrate to some other places.

It is being defined as settling at a certain place which is less by distance. For example, If you wish to go somewhere, but in the middle you have stayed for a while then later you moved to the target place.
