A recipe has a ratio of 2 cups of sugar to 6 cups of flour. How many cups of flour are used for each cup of sugar in the recipe?

The ratio 2 to 6 can be reduced to 1 to 3. That means for every 3 cups of flour there is one cup of sugar.
