I'm assuming that x 8 = x⁸ and 3x 5 = 3x⁵.

So let's solve.

x⁸ + 3x⁵ = x⁵(____)
x⁸ + 3x⁵ = x⁵(x³ __)
x⁸ + 3x⁵ = x⁵(x³ + 3)

Therefore the missing expression is (x³ + 3)
